When I check google in the subject the first page i notice was.
https://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+TAPI
The asttapi gives error on install. So it didn’t satisfy me and search a little bit more and got this one:
https://pbxinaflash.com/community/threads/asterisk-siptapi-integration.12786/
I found SIPTAPI, and easily install it. Just, download, unpack and copy a file.
Dig a little bit to find the “Phone and modem” Controlo Panel in Windows 10, to configure the siptapi.
After this quick install and configuration I just test it on Outlook.
Asterisk can be used by Windows TAPI aware applications with siptapi.
Why choose SIPTAPI?
- Because it works;
- Because have is source code available on sourceforge;
A remark. The free siptapi cant handle incoming calls, it don’t have the register option, but asttapi can handle it, and both have the source code available, so may someone someday may port the incoming calls handle from asttapi to siptapi.
You just need to install and configure SIPTAPI in Windows.
This can be done with 32 bits and 64 bits versions from windows 7 to windows 10.
Install SIPTAPI in Windows 10
Download it tsp driver SIPTAPI from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/siptapi/files/
Extract the files to your desktop
Use Windows Explorer to copy the siptapi.tsp file from correct folder ../deploy\(win32|x64)\Release) to c:\Windows\system32 folder.
To configure SIPTAPI in windows 10
